Growing Design project will be on show at the Dutch Design Week 2017 (21-29 October) at two different locations. 

Fungal Curiosities

The exhibition will display ongoing activities as well as preliminary results of our joint STW/TTW project “Mycelium-based Materials for Product Design” (project nr. 14572), a collaborative endeavor between Design Academy Eindhoven, TU Delft and Utrecht University.

Through an immersive setting, visitors will be able to get acquainted with both data and technical/experiential qualities of a range of mycelium-based composite materials, as well as to dive into the overall project’s content and process.

Mind the Step 2017

The project “Growing Seasons” will be on show at the Mind the Step exhibition 2017. Mind the Step is the annual exhibition of 4TU Design United community, showing the results of the cross-fertilization between technology, research and design. We will display the newly designed 3D-growing system and some initial results of the research project.
