An identity for biopolymers

the liquid wood case study, 2010

This thesis aims to identify a strategy for defining and envalue the identity of biopolymers and move them from the idea of surrogate materials. Through a research on materials acceptability and affirmation in history, she developed a methodology based on meanings and expressiveness of materials, that she applied on liquid wood. According to the different varieties of this material, three identities and three scenarios of application have been developed in order to obtain an acknowledgement and autonomous identity of the material.
